01 May Digital Fashion and Creating Fashion Textiles (aka Fabric) College Project by Professor Polvinen (Remembering Elaine M. Polvinen)

This was a freshman project I was invited to by my professor Elaine Polvinen. She created the print custom in 2012. It was an honor to collaborate with her and become inspired in the fashion industry. Thank you Ms Polvinen for approving my student exchanges and encouraging me to explore the world.

The Burchfield Penney Art Center sadly reported that artist and educator Elaine M. Polvinen died on October 13, 2015. As Professor in the Department of Fashion and Textile Technology at SUNY Buffalo State, she trained students in how to design, print, weave and use 3-D mapping software to produce textiles, as well as how to envision textiles as unique fashion.
